Rick Underwood was born in Lincoln Nebraska in 1960. He was raised in New Mexico and began pursuing his passion for playing music at an early age. Like many musicians, Rick played in several cover bands. Over many years, Rick developed his skills as a songwriter and guitarist. Motivated to pursue a career in music, he moved to Dallas, Texas in 1988. After playing in a few bands, Rick was introduced to digital studio recording technology, by his longtime friend, Chuck Diehl. Through his early efforts, he was able to develop his arranging skills and basic recording technique.
